Are these lathes any good? I have one and I'm not sure if it's complete or missing a couple of bits and whether I want to keep or sell it now?

 

I had every intention of learning to turn however it has been sat in my garage for 18 months as I haven't had the time thus far.

Myford were very well known for their small metalworking lathes. Reasonably priced, average quality, every model maker and his dog had one.

A long standing British company so they must have done something right.

Not so many of their wood lathes around but I expect you can still get parts for yours if you need something.

I have one, had it for 30 years, very pleased with it.

 

They were popular in schools and colleges years ago, when you were still actually allowed to make something using a sharp tool.
