Slightly off topic but how does the log stove work? I've never seen them before. Do you cut a cross in one end and pour a bit of cherry on to get it going?

Not far off - cut a cross (or a six way if bigger) then shove a firelighter just into the top of the cut in the middle (I'm sure there's a more eco way of doing it but it works for me!).

Once it gets going they go for ages.

Did see someone at the weald woodfair reckon he was trying to get patent on the idea - I'm fairly sure he wasn't being serious (more the fact about trying in the first place)

When i was up in the lakes with Ed, we didnt need any diesel or firelighters, Dry pine bark worked a treat to get it going but i guess the other 2 will do haha

They do work extremely well, Ed lit one and it BOUNCED down with rain for about 20 mins and it didnt go out, They burn for ages and it cooked my hot dogs in about 30 seconds :thumbup1::thumbup1:
