Yes, perhaps if he hadn't been lugging a bloody great stove they might have beaten Amundsen to the pole?

 

Typical Brit, can't go anywhere without a hot cup of tea. Meanwhile the Norwegians have jogged there while necking tins of fermented herring, taken selfies at the pole, left a rude note and strolled home.
