DAIHATSU HIJET 1.3 Big Deck

Hi peoples, thinking of buying a vehicle for transporting quad and delivering firewood thought of 2004 DAIHATSU HIJET 1.3 Big Deck, just wondered what people thought of them and what the bed size is and how eccomomical they are>? any thoughts and comments will be very usful to me. Thanks SSTS

Dont know about the big deck ones but the standard ones are cracking. I think they can only carry 700 Kilos.

I have just bought a tipper hijet 2002 1300cc

 

only had it a couple of days use it for single loads. goes like the clappers around town. put a single load on still goes like the clappers. No body sway loaded but make sure you have good tyres on the back in the wet. So far seems much better than cab star on wet grass. Cant comment yet on fuel but would imagine 35-40

that would be bang on for straight lines, but what about roundabouts and s bends, it would topple lol

When we used to get rascals stuck you could just pull out the choke put it in gear then get out and push. You then have to chase it when it gets free.
