Ref: Piranha chains rebranded as Rotatech Chains.

Has anything changed about the quality?.... the Piranha chains I had were rubbish.

-next couple of hrs sharpening

-half an hour checking the broken snapped off teeth

-& finish the video off with throwing it in the bin

Heya InLeWoods, yeah i'm good thanks mate, silly busy on the farm but getting on with it - we've been missing you on the saw... hope you are okay.

Yeah, your video is pretty accurate!.... could also include a close up video of the damage the Piranha (aka Rotatech chain) did to the side cover of my 550xpg.

I haven't snapped any of the Husqvarna/ Oregon chains yet so i guess the more expensive chains arent as good; because they are more expensive- whereas, after years of using cheap Piranha (aka Rotatech) chains you can save a massive amount of money and just buy a new saw to replace the one the Piranha (aka Rotatech) chain chewed up. :001_huh:

The power of advertising eh!!

cheers, steve

Hi Steve,

Quite a few changes were made to the chains when they were called Piranha. It is hard to know if the ones you tried were before the changes. We have been receiving nothing but good feedback. People say they are the same standard as Stihl and Oregon. So it is worth trying them again. I am sure they will live up to your expectations.

Hi SteveA,

Did you get in touch with us when this happened?

If you ever have a problem with any of our products, please get in touch ASAP.

I work in the shop and people come in every day saying how great the chains are and that they will never use other chains. This is the video and transcript of one customer being interviewed. Rotatech High Quality Replacement Chainsaw Chain Video Review

What changes were made to the chains from when they were Piranha? And why were the changes needed?

Hmmm... sorry but a lot of things don't add up here in my mind. If everyone was saying how good the Piranha chains were/nothing but good feedback then why rebrand and start again?? Build on the name and brand....

Oregon and Stihl have been making chain for umpteen years. I am not against a Chinese chain but as good as Stihl or Oregon with the same quality control? It's unlikely isn't it....

One review from one person does not really prove all that much does it!

You know you can put a survey up on here and let people feedback what they think? That would be a better way of doing it.... ;)
