I agree entirely Nick, do a good job, leave the site nice and tidy, don't take the michael with your costing and work hard at it! Thats interesting that you've gone full time after just 2 years, were you forced or did you make the jump? I'm still working full time, we've had redundancies but i managed to survive them, not sure if it's holding me back though, sometimes you need to be pushed i think.

I was made redundant from my full time job so had nothing to lose

I was lucky as i already had training with chainsaws and equipment

from my days working for leicestershire county forestry dept & also Warwickshire forestry dept

I had also built up a good customer base from my part time work

where in the midlands are you based you cant be to far from me

I used to go to this chiropractor for my back, stopped going for a bit and the pain stopped! I think the treatment was doing more damage than the work was!

I do wonder sometimes if these people have a vested interest in prolonging your 'treatment' for as long as possible. I went to a Sports Physio for knee treatment back along, until the costs started to out weigh any benefit. Got refered to an NHS physio who sorted me in half the time at no cost - other than time. Thank God for the NHS.:thumbup1:

The rule i operate under is as long as its not too painful, then carry on. Particularly true with backs, worse thing you can do IMHO is to lie down for any length of time. You just seize up!

I find that no matter how careful I am at work, my back will flare up when I am doing something like getting something out of a cupboard in the kitchen or reaching to get at something out of the boot. But your right about not lying down with a bad back if you can help it.

I found taking ibuprofen to initially take the edge off when you start work then as you get into it and it wears off, the back pain isn't so bad once you've got got it moving.

But as I said I haven't had much of a problem since I stopped going to the chiro and letting my back get the crap kicked out of it!
