leaning trees

Just wondering what people use to the angle of leaning trees?

I use protractor at the moment but wounding what else can be used?

I have an app on my phone for levels and angles.

I've been asked to leave stumps level for garden table bases and bird feeders, the last stump a cut was 1 and 3 degrees out of level using the bullseye level
