Sending samples

I have sent samples in a brown paper bag so they can breath rather than sweat in a plastic bag....I guess placing them inside an envelope 'inside an envelope' would be as good - usually send first class (although that can be as slow as second class?!) and if you think they are going to deteriorate take some good photos to include.

The FC have asked me to send some shoot samples after I reported something online. What's the the preferred method? Plastic box, Jiffy bag etc

When I was sending ADB material to FERA they wanted it in either screwtop plastic tubes or a4 sized sealable baggies. Both should be labeled with date, your name, sample location. I then bagged these up in a parcel bag.

A bit late in spotting the thread if you've already posted them, but when sending samples to FC labs we use zip lock bags, normally double bagged and then in an envelope. This is the way they ask us to send them, the only concern would be if it were sat in the bag too long in a hot sorting office or on the doormat in the lab. Samples therefore have to be sent either the same day they're collected or the next day. Samples collected late on a Thursday or on a Friday are therefore kept in the fridge over the weekend and posted on the Monday.
