i'm trying to source used telegraph poles to mill into 6"x6"x 17' lenghts trying to make a shed to store my canoe, regards

how many are you looking for? there always full of nails so are a pita to mill, best to just work with them round if u can.

as david says they are full of metal, they will last forever thats for sure though. where are you based?

Won't it be better to get cord lenghts of timber in and mill it that way just a thought??? Why telegraph poles is it down to cost??
