A company that chips for us runs their lorry and chipper on red. 10 wheeler and I believe no HGV or no tacho. It's all built as one unit though.

No travelling on motorways as its agri.

 

Taxation class is agricultural machine, dvla normally just need a few snaps of the contration and truck combined to validate the class change. Its then tax free , plate,tacho and O`license exempt. Can also be driven on a car license up to the agri limit,dvla were quite happy to do this for a forestry wagon but I suppose you would be stuffed if caught with a non agri/forestry gear on board.

Straw bale companies run trucks as Agri, however permantly attached is a purpose built stacking tipping body.

Just a plain bulk tipper wouldn't be as dedicated, more prone to temptation.
