we've got a ryetec with the 4m conveyor and its a decent thing. its irritating how many short logs miss the reception hopper for the conveyor but I can live with it. must have cut 100 ton with it now and no issues yet not even a resharpen.

Does it take big logs

supposedly it'll cut 300mm (12 inch) but in reality this is more like 11 inch as even straight timber has small lumps and bumps on it which prevents the saw from going right through.

What do you think to Balfour

I have the same saw but the petrol version. Very good at the smaller diameter stuff, needs to be put through very gently on larger diameter logs but generally pretty good. Hates sappy wood, seems to clog up the teeth and pretty much grinds to a halt.

Well made piece of kit , its not a nut and bolt build Job either . The roller feed Works a treat if the wood is cleaned up and not like the rubbish I am cutting but the tatty bits top the log from spinning out .

I am pleased but they are a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for...Quality build.
