That looks a lot better. If that had been me on my wet rope, it would have been a two handed affair trying to pull on it to get it going.

I'm assuming on dry rope it's just as good/the same/or even better?

i simply milled the cam/pin slot so that the cam swings down a few more degrees.

Just wondering if anyone has tried the new CE marked Cougar blue with the Akimbo yet and how has it been?

Following my problem with my original Cougar blue, I have been in touch with Nod and he has been in touch with Donagheys. They have said it will be replaced no problem at all, so that's good. 👍🏻

But I'm assuming it will get replaced by the new stuff which might not be any good with the Akimbo. Just wondering whether to keep it and cut it into 2 shorter pieces.

Is it any wider than the old stuff. Is it softer, bouncier or whatever. Any feedback would be great. Cheers

It seemed bouncier when I had a bob up and down on it. The new stuff is not polyester core and cover like the old. I think its poly cover and nylon core.. no doubt someone will let me know if I've got that wrong.

Would you buy it again to use with akimbo?

Nah I cant get the akimbo to work nicely on any of my cougars. But it may be better on new cougar that isnt a dirty and fluffy.. who knows. Im gutted because the old style cougar is awesome rope.
