husqvarna equivalent stihl 441?

Same I'd go old school nd get the 372, really love mine with a 20" or up a tree it'll still drag the 28" ok.

Used a 576 and it was smoother but just seems to be lacking something and balance is a bit off for snedding for my taste.

 

If you want proper old school it would be pre Xtorque , the old 372XP but of course it wont be new .

Ideal saw - straight off to Spud to get the crank seals changed, all the fuel etc pipes replaced, carb kit and finally ported.

 

This approach may seem OTT - however you won't need to touch a saw like that again for years:thumbup1:

That's got me thinking - a subbie I know has one with little use on it, bog standard. May be persuaded to part with it and we could do with just that saw if spudded.

 

What do you personally think as an owner? :001_smile:

 

Spud has ported most of my saws and every single one is better for it . They run cooler stronger and somewhat louder . Just more efficient . It would be rude not to ! :biggrin:
