I have a DD8F Mk2, the chains are't like gold dust, they're like rocking horse $h1t.

Service parts for the carbs are available from Tillotson.ie IIRC, the also have carb service manuals for download.

Tillotson

Points and possibly other parts are available from Villiers Parts.

Villiers and Allen scythe Parts - www.villiersparts.co.uk

You can buy a module that replaces the points, originally made by Atom in Australia the remaining stock was bought by a guy who sells them on the internet.

Atom Universal Electronic Ignition Module - Welcome to Pickersyard!

If you have a carb cover then thats a plus as I've only ever seen them in original literature.

On ebay the user carltontradinggb may be worth contacting if you need something.

My mate picked up one of these at an auction a few years ago for under £50. Works brilliantly and fires up easily. We reckon it was used by a furniture manufacturer who needed to crosscut logs that they imported directly from Africa and South America. They had a railway line right next to the factory and the whole logs were offloaded there. I think it would be a bit scary to use and we havent tried it out in anger yet.
