I bet more HI-LUX trucks are sold worldwide than Land rovers, enough said

Admit idly more Jap 4X4 are sold in the middle east and Australasia, this is due to the huge expense on importing them from Europe and yes I know a lot where made in south Africa!

Drove a Hilux surf for a few months when I was in Kabul:scared: Total shed, it didnt like snow or mud or pot holes. The engine dropped out half way up the Jahalabahd road:cry:absolutely no room in the rear unless you are 4 years old.

Keep it simple GREEN OVAL

Any 4x4 will get stuck in the wrong situation. And NO way would a landy have made it through the place where the Patrol got stuck in long way down.

I have owned about 8 -9 landys, tricked up modified V8's and rangerovers. How many have you had Jay?

Not one would I swap for my patrol. As for simplicity, I'll take Nissans 3.0 turbo intercooled engine over any crappy TD5 or 2.4Duratorque.

I have simple LSD diffs, 4 speed auto, detachable roll bar and huge ground clearance.

Beauty of the patrol, its built like a brick craphouse, has fantastic reliability, and is supremely comfortable.
