Hi everyone, i would like to put a rim sprocket kit on my ms250 so that i may use the picco super 3 chain. i'm just slightly confused as to wether i need the 7 or 8 tooth kit?

also would i need a different bar?

Rim Sprocket Kit 0.325'' 8T for Stihl MS250, MS250C - 1123 007 1031 | Stihl 021/MS210 Chainsaw Spares

Picco Super 3 (PS3), 3/8" P 1.3 mm - The first ever 3/8" Picco chisel tooth saw chain in the world

Im a woodturner and i cant afford a better saw at the moment but i use my saw a lot and feel it could use a boost, i also use it when cutting blanks along the grain would it be worth me getting a ripping chain from somewhere?

Thanks in advance for any help and advice!

may be a sillt question but is actually on your 025 at present as it maybe 3/8 picco or it may be .325

as 3/8 picco and .325 cant run on same bar and cant run on same sprocket or rim (depending which one fitted )

7 or 8 tooth depends is you want more top end speed or more torque ( i personally prefer 7 )

ah ok i see. thanks benny

at present i have 325"

1.6 mm

62

16"drivebar

so if i get the 7 tooth sprocket kit and a 3/8 bar and a picco super 3 chain thats me all set then? as far as i'm aware they don't make a picco super 3 chain for 325" hence the need for a new sprocket?
