One more question, do you think its worth me getting all this in terms of cutting speed,power etc. or perhaps there's just as good a chain that will fit my current set up?

ah ok i see. thanks benny at present i have 325" 1.6 mm 62 16"drivebar so if i get the 7 tooth sprocket kit and a 3/8 bar and a picco super 3 chain thats me all set then? as far as i'm aware they don't make a picco super 3 chain for 325" hence the need for a new sprocket?

I'm primarily looking to buy sycamore, beech, fruit trees (apple, pear, cherry) ash, elm and alder though other hardwoods i will consider. Ideally i would like a tree or two's worth for now, roughly around 20" diameter preferably green or left for up to about 6 months and cut into logs about the height of a regular sackbarrow. these will eventually be used for greenwood turning should that give you a better idea of what i'm after! I don't drive so transport would be ideal however it can be otherwise arranged. nr victoria school

Hi everyone, i would like to put a rim sprocket kit on my ms250 so that i may use the picco super 3 chain. i'm just slightly confused as to wether i need the 7 or 8 tooth kit? also would i need a different bar? OK so not quite firewood but i thought this an appropriate place to post this...I am always looking for large hardwood logs to cut up into bowl blanks for wood turning in wrexham any advice or logs would be much appreciated as a side note any advice on receiving training as a tree surgeon/arb around wrexham would also be greatly apreciated:thumbup:
