How did I manage this?

I lost the 2 bolts out of the exhaust on my husqvarna 576 yesterday and ended up getting new ones. I just found the first old one but I haven't got a clue how it got there...

Can you spot it?

Nope - lower exhaust port...

I cant see the exhaust port . The two holes I can see are the holes for the bolts . The lower one ( in the picture on its side ) is still in there but not done up the other may be in there and done up or missing completely .

Ha - of course, you are right. Hmm, still cant spot it then.

I think this game should be a feature in the Arb Journal or Essential Arb ie an equivalent spot the ball game for chainsaw operators...

I have had them come loose and fall out and jam between the felling spike and the bar .

It's got new bolts on it in the picture. The old one is in the lower exhaust hole, if you look closely the hole looks smaller because it's actually the Alan key head of the bolt.

I just can't work out how it fell out and went into the exhaust hole. Even weirder is that it won't come out because the holes too small.

Thats not the exhaust hole. They are the holes for the muffler bolts . The new ones you have put in are the support bracket . The one you can see the head of is loose and needs pushing back down the tube and tightening up .
