Efco 152

Hi all, does anybody use an Efco chainsaw.

In your opinion are they good saws?

I have just bought one mail order, waiting for it to arrive.

The other thing is someone said they are not sure if they have plastic crankcases ala Husky350! anybody in the know?

Yes i have a 981 80cc i think good saw but not as refined as the big 2 but each to their own.

I had a little 50cc Efco years back, it lasted about 3months, its was probably ok for occasional use but not up to real day to day graft. Sorry for the negativity.

I used to work for a lad who had a couple pretty crap in my opinion, although they were better than the alpina's that they replaced!!

got be joking invest in stihl or husky will pay off in long run my 020t is 12 years old and never lets me down spares are always available

 

need tools you can rely on

Had the oleo mac version(same saw) given to me ,found it a very good saw actually a great saw ,used it for cross cutting every day for5 months before i had a chipper then it was a tidy little chipper saw... untill some one snapped the chain brake band and gettting parts was a pain so sold it!
