Hi All,

I am considering buying a lorry to haul my own timber to local buyers. I need to get some insurance quotes, and wondered who you guys use for your Forestry/Arb trucks?

Also any idea on premiums for an owner/operator would be great!

Many thanks,

Matt

If you've not held your licenses for long a fleet policy along with your other vehicles is the cheapest way I found, mine is with Aviva through Onesure as they won't deal with HGV direct with customers

Our fleetplan insurance is with Aviva, I think the artic and three trailers for own goods is about the £1500 ish fully comp. Its up for renewal in a month so I might try Trust and the NFU for a quote. One thing I would say about Aviva is they will insure oddball trucks and reduce the cost for laid up vehicles like the watering bowser that only comes out for a few months of the year.
