Good work mate. Was that one of your jobs or Tommy's?

One point to note, more so in Ivy covered trees is to flush cut the stubs. You will know if you slip and get one in the ribs.

Was one of mine in Chislehurst. Was part of a larger job, deadwooding, pruning; all small stuff.

We weren't wearing spikes til the end so we left some foot holds. Was my doing really.

Why were there two of you up the tree? Were you training the other chap? He seamed to hold on for dear life when he cut that branch off! You also nearly got a chainsaw in the face.

To finish early!! We both finished our other tasks at the same time and it didn't need 3 guys on the ground fighting over a branch! It's a better craic when you're with someone as well! But yeah, to get it down a bit quicker really! Oh no, he's a much better climber than I am. That branch was a lot bigger than it looks in the vid and he was worried about shock loading the tree and being wobbled. The branch needed to be stopped before hitting the garage.

I see. It's always a bit interesting when you have to cut a large top out. That's where having a trusted grounds man is the key. How do you get on with the stihl top 201 I have the husky. Had to send it back outside its warranty as the gasket on the crankcase split! But they sorted it out even tho it was 6 months out side it's warranty. Can't complain about husquvarna.

Well I'm prob one of the few that like it!! I don't have a problem with it at all. I regularly clean my saws and they don't get full time use so that may be a factor. Although, I do have both the 201 and the husky equivalent. If you look closely through the video you'll see the 540 dangling from my strop. I just didn't get any worth while footage whilst using it! I also have the stihl 150 which comes highly recommended (from me) for pruning.!
