Funnily enough I just came straight from that thread.

Reminds me of being asked to peer review a tree report put in to Council for the removal of a Lombardy pop with notable status. The applicant wanted to remove the tree for an upgrade of the area (Department of internal affairs). The report, from an arborist, was one paragraph long stating the tree had an inclusion and was dangerous. I declined the report on the basis there was nothing wrong with the tree, there was no inclusion and it didn't represent any more a hazard than any other tree in the district. ONE PARAGRAPH for a protected tree!!!! The applicant still hasn't forgiven me but the tree still stands.
