I paid £169 for my mitox topper, im not a pro just a serious homeowner with a lot of trees, but so far in 2yrs mines not missed a beat, seems to run very well on stihl motomix. Its no echo/stihl/husky but solid enough for occasional use and very light.

My first topper was an Efco, it was not fit for purpose, wouldn't tick over/gutless/bitch to start, I bought a Stihl and literally threw the Efco away.

Buy an Echo, they're good, proper saws, not as good as the big two but good enough.

Big 2? There's the Sthil but can't think what the other one might be......:confused1:

Not mine my friend...anyone who knows me knows I only use stihl....a good mate of mine has got one...he ordered it from USA and cost a grand total of £231...had to wait about 3 weeks...[/quote

That would account for the difference, the warranty could be in question and also I doubt there is a CE certificate
