Spiderjack options

Got a spiderjack used it once didn't think it was as good as people were saying and forgot about it as I have the ziggy (love the zigzag!).

What I'm wondering is I have the tango cinch on my lanyard but had it a while and getting bored of it. Has anyone used a spiderjack on a lanyard? Pros? cons? Otherwise I'll be getting the zillion but that's more money down the grid...

You could but what a wast of a good piece of kit....should have persevered with it cause once you get the hang of it it's brill...not knocking the zz I have both...zz can be used more frequently but the spider comes into its own in medium to bigger open canopy trees especially when combined with a cocoon pulley.

I just didn't like it when you take your weight off the system then sit back in it it doesn't always bite again. Thought it was a safety issue really because of how use to the hitch climber I was. Hence why the zz suited me better.

The spiderjack hasn't even got a mark on it so thought I better put it to use...

You need a decent 11mm rope or slightly thicker...it's all about confidence....I wouldn't go cutting it about you would be better off selling it....shame to not use it for what it was designed for...up to you at end of the day...you could sell it and buy a back up zz or get a mark 3 if you haven't got one.
