Trying to refocus through an early evening Chadonay haze, I think there is one or two decent picture threads on this topic.

Have you seen them?

 

Here's a few I've seen over the last few months.

 

First is a Beech showing early signs at Windsor, highest attempt at adv rooting I've noted.

 

Second is a Sweet Chestnut up in a woods up in Norfolk.

 

Last one (cant recall if I've already posted this one or not :confused1:)

Cracking toppled Lime at Felbrigg Hall.

They very nice examples David....i agree about the wondrous delights that 'just a tree' can serve up.
