I have seen one working, lovely bit of kit, very sensible knife arrangement, but much more expensive than a 360 Posch when new. I did see that one yes but supply of good cord is expensive and pretty well non existant, at the end of the day its pointless having a machine like that unless it can pay for itself in a reasonable time frame. Perhaps its time a group of local competitors get together and share machinery.

Yh I agree unless you have perfect straoght cord and alot of supply theres no point, and I always like the fact of when something is made in england!

The one on ebay with log deck etc etc was £22k which is ok I guess, but whwen theres a good condition hakki pilke 1x37 for 6k and a japa 370 for around 5k then in my mind id rather by the cheaper option as it can do more or less the same wood/job just as quick!

And 6k is easier to find than 22k!!!!

Hi mate SHARE KIT I no farmers do it I dont think it would ever reall work, around here the nearest firewood supllier to us is about 1/2 a mile up the road but from there on its about 5miles, and they dont do it on a very big scale and just tick along with an axe and chainsaw, the only thing that may work is a large group of firewood guys have a large plot of land with an equal share, bring all their logs and machines so they produce the largest stockpile there is and supply wholesale/retail abit like certainly wood aswell as doing it cgeap enough wholesale so they can suplly those who imort firewood thus stopping the increase demand on importing from the baltic etc.
