Anyone got a Norse Winch?

Hello everyone,

 

my dad bought this old Elkem (Norse) 3081 winch but something seems to be slipping as soon as its under any load.

 

any experts out there know if this would be a simple fix?

Clutch is either worn/glazed or the spring isn't pushing the cable drum far enough.

Sounds like the clutch plate is not adjusted properly or worn out.

took it to bits. clutch plate is fairly worn. anyone know where in the UK to get new one?

I had new ones made up based on the old ones, at a local clutch re-linning place. I think it cost £50.

I believe Norse is the same as Igland.

So might be worth trying JASP Wilson

This is the 1 i use works perfect for small stuff we had to put a new clutch plate in it got it from James Buchan fransgard uk you have to glue the new one on
