I've seen a table somewhere, which I think is an advisory for planning authorities, showing what is required for diferent sized sites. A homeowner application would only require basic information, a site with >8-10 plots a larger number of surveys etc.

 

 

can anyone point me to it, as I can't find it now.

Interesting - I've not seen or heard of this table but wouldn't mind seeing it. Would be useful.

Just a thought, but this mythical table could have been in one of the dozens of policy, circular and guidance documents swept away in 2014 under the wholesale planning review. Put it another way, if it's not currently available on teh planning pertal online guidance, it doesn't apply any more. Possibly.

I think I've seen it recently, last month or so. It's one of those pages you land on when in search of something else, cast an eye over it, think "That's interesting, I'll read it thoroughly later...."

After much trawling through the NPPF I'm starting to think I did, I found this: Local information requirements | Planning Practice Guidance which suggests that it was a LA site I saw it on.
