Hi~ Now registered as Company is now paying by CIS only. Luckily now getting work from other firms :001_smile

What's the problem, as long as you get the tax voucher off them your just paying the tax a bit sooner, not a major issue really?

Regarding the 30% dock. It will come out in the wash on your return for the year. You probably know this already but just worth saying your not getting stopped 30% and never seeing any back

Hi ~ Understand will get sorted at end of year. But as I have just started setting up need as much as possible for kit etc. Tax bill will be very low in April according to Accountant.

If you are working for a client who is deducting CIS you can break your invoice down, - they can deduct from labour not materials/plant etc..so if you wanted to claim for your fuel, etc..you can put a Labour % & material % We have this often working in the commercial sector

You can claim in back instantly through basic paye tools

I found this out the other day, I'd been doing it the hard way

 

How does that work? If your on PAYE, tax and NI are deducted every time your paid anyway, so there would be no need for a CIS deduction?? Is this if you're working employed and self employed with different employers?

Hi thanks for all help. Am looking into claiming back the payment . Also they have stopped paying by CIS so life a lot easier. Thanks again Andy:001_smile:

If your are a company and pay staff by PAYE as I assume everyone does

you can enter how much you as a company have been deducted in BASIC PAYE tools and its paid into your HMRC account
