which log splitter???

With a little one on the way we decided to purchase a splitter instead of chopping all the wood by hand, having had a look around I ended up with a Handy THPLS7TE.

 

I picked the electric version due to it being a couple of hundred less, also having solar panels fitted it means I can make some use of the generation.

 

Found the 7 Tonne version for sale at £489.95 with a free 4 way splitter worth £16. I've then had 5% cashback through quidco, and 5% cashback via Amex card, so all in all it will only have set me back around low £400.

 

I've tested it with some of last years wood and so far it's not missed a beat, and it will suit my needs just fine.

I am now a owner of a Titan Pro 8 ton upright splitter ( petrol ) , had a quick play and so far so good - i have some 2 tonne to do , so that should give it a good run!!!!
