Spoke to Aran and yes nice bloke, but my harness is over 5 years old now and I think it'll last a bit more, but he said no to fabrics over 5 years old....so I'm hoping to find someone who'll at least have a look at it.

Aran failed his own harness once. It crashed the matrix. Tony did the arb assessment for a firm I used to work for. Nice guy and super hot on the old health and safety. He won't miss a trick.......new harness time!

Yeah it could be new harness time. From what I gather some inspectors will say it's over 5 years bin it, others will inspect and decide if it is good to go or not...clearly age is a factor in the whole picture but it seems crazy to me to chuck a harness that is still good just cos it's older than 5.

Cheers fellas

Its more to do with manufactures recommendations, if manufactures say it's not fit to use after 5 years and a loler inspector go's and says it is, then the harness fails he won't have a leg to stand on in court. Just treat yourself, 300 quid every 5 years it would pay for it's self numerous times over!!
