Have had this ms201 saw for a few months now but have encountered a problem.

It starts ok, and runs ok, but after a few minutes use it will cut out, then impossible to start again, I have to leave it for 5-10 Mins and restart using cold start procedure.

Any idea whats causing this? not air filter as I just put a new one on

Thanks in advance

What spud said, get back to dealer... But also I had a similar problem with a blower, it turned out the ignition coil had taken a knock. I put a new one on and it's as good as new.

A too large flywheel to coil gap can produce a spark when the coil is cold but will fail when hot and then be OK again when it cools - had a MS460 like that once. Also coils can fail when warm/hot!
