I hope you've got them in your love nest :lol:

Lol, dude, they're safely stored. I daren't even use them now. They're virgin specimens! Priceless.

I might buy up a stash of the last remaining 'good ones' as my pension. :001_tt2:

Just went out to the garage and looked at my 56er, caressed the body, tweaked the bar nuts and went

Now I'm a total tart. Makita, Solo and a poorly Stihl which has a sore throat, :001_rolleyes:

Oh god no, not Alko.

That means the end of Solo quality for sure.

The new Solo will be flimsy, light and built to a price, I dare guess.

Not letting go of my babies now. :001_cool:

AL-KO bought Solo well over a year ago, but were not happy with the product or its production line as it was and closed the factory for a complete upgrade of the production line and the product.

I have seen some of the new saws 'pre launch' and they are certainly not light and flimsy as has been assumed. In fact they are very sturdy and seem a little on the heavy side. They will be branded 'solo by Al-KO'

The range covers 36cc to 80cc with 'homeowner' 'semi-professional' and 'strong professional' designations.

Model numbers are 636,643IP,646,652,651C,656C,665,675 and 681, but how closely these resemble the old range I do not know as I have not had much to do with SOLO for many years.

We saw the saws early, but as yet there has been no release of specification or price as the official UK launch is Jan 2016.

Rochford at Wincanton are the UK 'SOLO by Al-ko' importer for this new product.
