Nptc training

Hi

 

I'm looking into nptc cs30 31 38 39 training whilst still being in my job as a mechanic . I've found a place close by that provides these as combined courses over Afew weeks which work well for me as I can do them in my holidays from work, would doing cs30-31 one month and 38-39 the following be advisable?? Just thinking so the first 2 sections are still fresh on my head.

the two courses are very different, it's best to start off doing ground work until your proficient with a saw, completing cs30 and cs31 does not mean you are there just h&s courses you'll need experience before your up to the work.

it's best to just do the first course and then get some work and see if you get on with it.

So do cs30-31 then try and get some weekend work?

best option its difficult to get someone to take you on as a climber with no experience so 38 & 39 might be money wasted

Sound! I've been looking on job sites and 30-31-38-39 are the min requirements..just abit confusing, what sort of work would you be generally doing as a ground worker??

using a chainsaw to cut up wood chipping moving brash around that kind of thing. if there lokking for someone with 30-31-38-39 there prob looking for experience as well

How about C30/31 and then C38 climbing and rescue. Leave the C39. Could do chipper, stump grinder, brushcutter? Might make it easier to get groundie work? That's kind of my plan to start with.
