The cost is in the copying. I can go to the civic centre and demand to view it, but with travel and time it's not worth the effort. I understand that by 2020, everything will have to be online.

Copying costs should be no more than 10p per A4 sheet. http://www.informationtribunal.gov.uk/DBFiles/Decision/i161/Markinson.pdf Many Authorities charge a lot more. Can they email a pdf. version which should be free. If you visit the offices photograph it. And if you are going to loose a big job and other jobs as a consequence, isn't the inconvenience of going to the offices worth it.

Thanks for the link, I'd forgotten about that.

 

What I meant in my post was that getting it posted was more time efficient than the 40 mile round trip. It would turn into a morning of my time.

 

Getting a PDF is like getting blood from a stone with most of the LAs I deal with - apart from one where the office staff are really good with us.
