Ifor Williams

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the response. The idea is to use the tractor in the wood, and Land Rover on the road. I tried a wheel against the trailer and there looks to be clearance? Spacers wouldn't be to much hassle, I was hoping some one out there would know of a 4 stud wheel which would fit onto the existing hubs.

Try Totrax, they have wheel/tyre combinations for any application

I'm with the original poster, I'd love a tipper trailer that had better flotation for getting into lawns, wooded areas etc; but could be pulled by a jeep/small truck.

I have often wondered about converting an ifor Williams livestock trailer chassis into a tipper; or building a unit from scratch. But with new road laws here in Ireland I'm nervous of trying to "modify" trailers.

Thanks Maxwellarb, Trailer parts were very helpful. Replacement 5 stud hubs to fit the existing axles are available, at a price! £113 +vat each. I'll have to seriously think if I can justify the cost.

Yup, there is the cost to consider, but you'll know that you've done the job properly. If you do go for it, please stick some pics on here. :-)
