Cheap stove fans - false economy?

I'm having to look at Fan Ce - Stove Top Fans as I have limited space between the stove and the lintel. Does anyone else have one of these? Otherwise I'm thinking of changing the legs on the stove so as I can get a more common size fan in but not sure if I should through insurance purposes against manufacturers instructions etc.
