When can I use it?

Hi everyone I felled a 120ft cedar last year and left the millable timber in 6m lengths. The tree was dead a year before I took it down. I'd like to build a timber lean to from it.

Question is can I use it straight away after milling it? And How should I treat it? Thanks in advance for any advice.

cedar is great for using outside but make sure your roof timbers are bulky as it splits in half fairly easily.

Hi yeah no worries just crack on with it what type of cedar , wrc , lebanon etc all very durable outside and ok for a lean to stright from milled , do post some pics and good luck with your build
