Logmaster LM2 mobile bandsawmill for sale

After much consideration and a pleasant trip to Poland, I will be selling my Logmaster LM2 bandsawmill at the end of September. I would post this advert in Arbtrader, but it's a complicated item to sell, and Arbtrader doesn't seem to tell me when I have a response to an advert.

Anyway, after much deliberation I bought the Logmaster LM2 just under two years ago from the States. It is as far as I'm aware, the only one of it's kind in the UK (there is an LM4 here somewhere too). It's specced with 2" bands, which means quicker cutting than with a 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 and far less deviation from flat as the bands run at a higher tension too. It's a monster of a mill, about a tonne heavier than a Woodmizer LT40 and will cut logs up to 3ft diameter and 25ft long.

It has served me incredibly well, and there are two main reasons I am selling it. Firstly, I bought it with mobile work in mind. Since buying it, I've not done any mobile work. Secondly, I need a bigger throat to accommodate the monster logs we sometimes get here.

So, it's for sale, with about 500-600 hours on the clock (it does not have an hour meter, but it's a fairly well educated guess). It's in excellent condition, has never been towed, has always been stored under cover and is ready to work.

I have around 35 bands to go with it (maybe a few more). Upon sale, they will all be freshly sharpened and set. There are a few spares with it, most notably a spare pair of guide rollers.

I have made a few very minor modifications in the past two years which improve the mill's operation. Very minor really.

The engine is a 38hp Kohler V-twin which has plenty of power and sips fuel (about 15 litres for a full shift). All functions on the mill are direct hydraulic. No electronics to go wrong. Electric set works, which I don't use, but is simple to use and very accurate.

At present it does not have a tow hitch but I can afix one if needs be. If the mill does not need to be made road ready, I would offer a suitable discount to the buyer.

It is a much bigger, much heavier built and considerably faster and more accurate mill than the main alternative on the market. It has low hours, has been impeccably maintained and is reluctantly being offered for sale, but the nature of my work has changed and I need a bigger, static and electric mill.

Illustrating the size of log you can cut - this is about a metre in diameter:

Looking for £18,000 plus VAT. It's paid for itself many times over in the time I've had it and it would for you too.

Thanks mate. It has been a very good machine, but time to get something bigger. Will go into more detail about new mill once it's touched down.

Update - the mill will be fitted with a brand new replacement engine in the next week or two. The original has always been a bit of a Friday afternoon special, right from the start, so no such issues for the new owner of the mill. I would imagine it would have around 100-125hrs on it by the time it is sold.
