maple Id

was not going to comment as i was waiting to see what others thought but as there is an indecisive view i'll add my 2pence.

 

when i opened my complete guide to trees on the norway maple page there is a picture of a leaf that looks identical to the picture.

 

acer lobelii?

 

I think you're right! Synonyms include Acer platanoides subsp. lobelii, hence the similarity to Norway Maple, and Acer cappadocicum subsp. lobelii

 

Nice one. I must commit this one to memory, never seen one before but would like to recognise it if I ever do.
