Which log splitter would you buy?

Sweet mate, how did you go about transporting it? Ended up buying the road tow oxdale love it í ½í±í ¼í¿½

 

Bought a handy cart.

I can just about load it into that then pull it up the grinder ramps, but it's a precarious mission due to the high C of G.

The Lawnflite LS65 7 tonne vertical petrol splitter is about bang on your budget and is reasonably quick.

Not much it won't split at 12" or less.

 

Be warned though, while it's fine to shove round the yard it's a pig to move from site to site without a low plant trailer or similar.

How's it get on with bigger stuff 24-36" and knots etc ?

Never split that long Billy.

Ring wise it will tackle anything I can manhandle onto the deck between the arms.

Really snotty stuff just goes on the crap pile now, although it handles reasonably knotty stuff ok.
