Oak Flooring

I've got some second hand solid Oak flooring out of a house which I'm in the process of sanding back (first with 80 grit, then with 120 grit).

It's going onto an OSB floor and not sure how to fix it. Looking for advice...

-Glue it (Will the glue work on OSB?)

-Floating (i.e. no glue, just straight onto the floor but then more likely to move around?)

Many thanks in advance :001_smile:

Assuming there are studs under the osb I would pin the tongues of the boards, keeps it secure and hides the fixings.

Also if your sanding them all round remember to seal all the edges with finish to avoid warping

To avoid staining might be best to use brass or stainless fixings. I screwed my floor down with stainless screws as cross head screws are easy to put in with a cordless drill. You will need to drill a clearance hole and ideally countersink as very little give in oak.
