Ebay chipper - scam or not

theres loads of chippers on ebay that are scams just now look at the greenmech ones

I go into detective mode when buying things like chippers, I google for tree surgeons in the area the chipper is supposed to be in and see if I can find pics of it in use on websites. Also worth searching the contact number to see if that brings up a company/ business listing or previous sales from eBay or gumtree all of which help point to a genuine seller

I just messaged him asking about viewing it, he seemed OK with it

Collection is preferred but a price for delivery could be obtained from a local delivery company, please supply your postcode for a quote in case you are interested. Let me know what you prefer. As regarding the payment I would appreciate a bank transfer, it is a large amount and I don't want to work with cash.

 

Seems like a legit answer.

 

maybe better to discuss/ask questions of the buyer before trying to conclude too much.

The ad has been removed and ebay sent me a message about 'borrowed' accounts and suggesting no more communication with thay account holder!
