I took ians advice and bought a 280 and 360, like he says take a while to run them in, but brill and nice and light.

 

When I think my carvings are any good, I will post some pics ian, at mo, trying to carve 3 leaping trout, a bit ambitious, done two and started third today.

And it's a good saw to boot! Did you not look at it at Carve up the Coast Si? It was the one with the 14" dime Sugi-hara bar on :)

Sorry Si, missed this question.

Yes, it's the one at the top of the pic. Next down is the new CS390ESX with 14" quarter tip (Now got a 20" quarter tip on)

Then the little one, a CS280WES with an 8" Echo carving bar. CS352ES with 14" Quarter and the lump at the bottom is the CS620SX with 24" standard bar.

What 20" bar did you get, cannon ?

Just picked up a bargain, Stihl 036 Q, put a 18" sugi toonie on it and it flies 😁
