Just fitted a new coil to my km56, when I pull it over it pops and backfires back out of the carb, won't run, ther is a spark, any ideas where I've gone wrong?

i just got a new coil for a fs55r and its doing the same is it a chinese part per chance i was wondering whether the timing of the coil was off as there doesn't seem to be as much adjustment as the genuine one

There are a few different coils for these,Make sure your coil is compatible with the serial number on your machine,The wrong one will fit and look just fine,But will display the problems your having if the wrong one

Exactly right, I think the change was 2007 for the FS55, 4 coil options and 2013 for KM56 2 coil options. The ignition coil needs to be compatable with the flywheel
