Tracked chipper on transit tipper bed advice

Hi just wondering if anyone has much experience transporting tracked chippers (around 1250kg) on the back of transit tippers (crew cab)?

 

Is it non advisable or even legal? and would 2.8m ramps be ok or would it make too steep an incline?

 

Any advice or tips will be appreciated

It's not a good idea as the crewcab is 150kg more than standard so even when it's on you will probably only be able to have a driver. Ours is 2.1 tonnes with fuel and no driver and back seats removed. We use 2.4m ramps with the beavertail and that's steep enough. Weight over back axle is fine as it's rated at 2.4tonne.

I know a bloke who carried his one and a half tonne digger in his tranny no bother.

If it were me I'd place some kind of support like wooden struts under the rear of the tipper body while loading.

Was a single cab mind but all the same I don't see why not.

You might be a bit overloaded but who isn't most of the time?

Specifying the crew cab thing was just to highlight the length of ramps I could carry in the back

carry mine on the bk of my sprinter, put the tipper up part way takes the ridge out of were the ramps go, mine are 8ft ,do fine
