Western Red (or similar)

Afternoon all.

I have a friend who is keen for us to make a desk/shelf out of some western red cedar. (after seeing a bench i made).

Ideally they want it soon, so was wondering if anyone had any air dried? Ideally 40-50mm.

I have some I could mill but need to get a kiln sorted.

WRC is easily marked, could you not convince him to go for a harder timber like yew or a good hard hardwood?

Interesting thanks, I hadn't considered it. I think she just like the way it looked and the green stuff smells great!

In that case has anyone got any air/kiln dried hardwoods or yew

looking for one piece 2500x600 (or narrower and we can joint) and 5 at 1600x200
