Have just been offered artic of sycamore cordwood for £59/tonne +5% VAT delivered. Is this reasonable or expensive?

Hi if that is delivered and it is good stuff sounds right ,depends on where you are in the country prices seem to vary a lot here in Pembs its £55 roadside just been offered some in Basingstoke £40 roadside but 400 mile round trip to get it.

So yours at £59 seems good as I could not haul it for the £4 differece.

Cheers Chris

It's going to get a lot cheaper down that way as the big harvesting operators were supplying one firewood outfit. Now there not supplying them for various reasons I can't go into on a public forum. There 10s of thousands of tons roadside. Price will come down drivers foresters even the landowners saying that. If it was not for biomass cord would be the cheapest it's been for the last decade.

Dam good firewood beech ash sycamore 12 inch down going for chip
