Intro to SRT

I know what you mean though,in the transition from using srt to just access to working a crown is hard if you have been used to double ropes and was quite out of my comfort zone not having the ropes in the supporting manor a double rope provides until it all clicks in your mind it's fine!! , I definitely did what your students did in the first few climbs , I still like to clip it on so the system is in front of you for coming back of limbs and taking out the slack as it feels not so alien and feels easier.

,also I don't like the way the cordage on the HH works, seems I could never find a sweet spot ! !

Hi Matty

What rope are you using in your HH?

There are two secrets to the HH:

1. Understand fully how the HH works and refine your technique.

2: Rope & hitch cord compatability.

I only have two ropes, Poison HiVee and Cougar Blue.

I found the 10mm Volcano hitch cord to work well with the CB and its sublime on the PHiVee.

Many others have reported the Volcano to be the best for the HH.
