I like Jrose ideas,

Rob D has a very user friendly site though.

As far as carving bars are concerned, unless you are willing to source a variety of makes then I'd maybe look at capturing the market of new carvers who don't wish to spend £100+ on a bar.

So click on a bar and info of bar mount, compatible with makes/models of saws.

With link to types of chain available and number of links needed( I know this can vary by a link or two).

Link to sprockets and worm drive options.

Link to files/ sharpening kits.

Maybe offer discount for a conversion kit, bar, chain, sprocket and worm drive and sharpening kit for ms 171,181 etc.

Some great ideas coming through cheers.:thumbup1:

We are restricted in how our web site works in regards to using a drop down box type of selection. I did want to do that from the start but it wasn't possible, might be with the site revamp but I'm 99% sure it won't work.

Jrose, we have that atm but it's just for spare parts for each saw so there is no problem adding in the relative bars and chains, :thumbup1: only issue is I would have to an endless amount of other machines individually ie 357, 346, 026, 046 066 etc due to the problem goaty and ukulian pointed out.

Please keep the ideas coming,

Cheers.

Thanks to all for the help, I think we are going to go with a couple of options that should hopefully make life easier when choosing a bar and chain.

Thanks again

Mark
